Security Council of Kyrgyzstan adopts draft of new Military Doctrine

Bishkek, June 13, 2023. / Kabar /. A regular meeting of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic was held today under the chairmanship of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, following which a number of decisions were adopted.

During the discussion of the first issue, members of the Security Council considered the draft of the country's new Military Doctrine, aimed at further development of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan.

In particular, the document states that the main directions for the further development of the Armed Forces are the coordinated activities of state and military administration bodies, the Armed Forces, other military formations and state bodies involved in ensuring the country's military security, aimed at preparing and fulfilling the tasks of developing the Armed Forces.

The relevance of developing the main directions for the further development of the Armed Forces and the development of a new Military Doctrine is due to the changed system of state administration, the military-political situation in the world and the Central Asian region, as well as the need to systematize and improve the composition, structure, tasks and issues of comprehensive provision of the Armed Forces for adequate response to modern threats, challenges and effective implementation of tasks to ensure the country's military security.

Following the discussion of this issue, it was decided to approve the draft Military Doctrine, taking into account the proposals made during the meeting of the Security Council.
