21 associations present strategic plan

Manama, Aug. 7 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) recently received a four-year strategic plans of 21 out of 28 national sports associations.
This move is part of BOC’s strategic planning office efforts in an attempt to activate the role of sports associations and motivate them to work in accordance to a well-planned strategy.
It is in line with the directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President, to further develop sports movement in the kingdom of Bahrain.
Strategic Planning director Hasan Abdullatif said the committee has taken a major step in preparing the strategic plans of the associations with the continued follow-up from BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar.
Abdullatif noted that the committee has organized a number of workshops for representatives of the associations, in which the modern scientific methods of setting up strategic planning were explained.
These methods emanate from Bahrain Vision 2030, the Olympic Charter and the policies of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and the Bahrain Olympic Committee, to support national sports associations and help them achieve sports excellence.
