Its chief executive officer, Jens Reisch, said the inaugural selection programme for Malaysia, which was launched on Tuesday, would unearth local football talent for the event which is also seen as a means to foster closer ties between people from different countries. "Our collaboration with FC Bayern Munich over the past few years would help nurture more talent among young Malaysian footballers," he told reporters after launching the programme, here on Tuesday. Three former Malaysian internationals, Shahrin Majid, K. Gunalan and Lim Chuan Chin, would be involved in the selection process at SUK field in Shah Alam, Selangor, on July 14 and 15.
