Arsenal vs Malaysian Selection Tickets On Sale Friday

KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 (Bernama) -- Tickets for the July 24 match between English Premier League (EPL) club, Arsenal and the Malaysian Selection at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil here, will go on sale Friday.
Arsenal will be kicking off their pre-season tour starting with the match in Malaysia before visiting other countries.
"We assure you that Arsenal will be sending the full first team for the tour. Although some of our players are currently involved in the UEFA Euro 2012, they will be given a three-week rest before starting off with training for the new season," said Arsenal's chief executive, Ivan Gazidis.
"Based on the overwhelming and warm response from our fans last year, we are delighted to be coming back to Kuala Lumpur. We had a fantastic pre-season programme in KL last year and Arsene (Wenger) and his players are looking forward to the trip," he told reporters after the official ticket launch of the Arsenal-Malaysian Selection match in Jalan Telawi, Bangsar, Thursday.
The match, organised by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), is promoted exclusively by ProEvents Group.
Tickets for the match are priced at US$18.23 (RM58), US$21.38 (RM68), US$33.86 (RM108) while limited VIP tickets are at US$122.19 (RM388) and are available exclusively at selected Nike outlets from Friday until June 21. Each ticket will come with a complimentary training pass to watch the exclusive open training session.
From June 22 onwards, tickets will be available at all Ticketpro outlets nationwide, and through Ticketpro hotline 03-7880-7999 and www.ticketpro.com.my.
Meanwhile, fans of the "Gunners" will have the chance of a lifetime with their favourite football club through a promotion called "Be a Super Gunner" which runs from tomorrow until June 30.
In conjunction with Arsenal's match against the Malaysian Selection, the contest requires fans to sent in a 10- to 15-second video telling why they are a Super Gunner.
"To be able to take part, fans must first get their hands on a match ticket for the Malaysian Selection-Arsenal showdown and it must be shown in the video. One match ticket is exclusively for a single contest entry only," said ProEvents International Sdn Bhd managing director, San Boon Wah (fourth from right).
Also present were Vice President Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Subahan Kamal (fourth from left), FAM General Secretary Azzuddin Ahmad (second from left), Emirates (Malaysia) Country Manager Kavin Martinus (third from left), Communications Director Arsenal FC Mark Gonnella (third from right) and Proevents Group Chief Executive Officer Julian Kam (second from right).
The video clips must be submitted to the organiser via email to beasupergunner@proevents.com with the contestant's name, contact number, e-mail and the ticket serial number.
