ASEAN embassies to hold Bowling Fun Games

Manama, Sep. 19 (BNA): The embassy of Brunei Darussalam will be organizing the "Second ASEAN Bowling Fun Games" in association with the embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines as part of ASEAN Games2016.
The event is scheduled to be held under the patronage of the embassy of Malaysia at the Funland Bowling Centre on September 23, where Brunei Darussalam is the Organizing Committee for the event. Other sports which are also scheduled to be held this year including badminton, table tennis, volleyball and football, according to the Chargé d'Affaires of Brunei Darussalam Embassy in Bahrain, Noor Al Huda Ahmad.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, Currently, it comprises of ten Member States five of which have embassies in Bahrain.
The current chair of ASEAN is Laos. It hosted the 28th and 29th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits recently on September 6-8 under the theme "Turning Vision into Reality for a Dynamic ASEAN Community.
This year marks the first year of the implementation of the ASEAN Community Vision2025 towards tangible results. Laos will continue to carry out the role of ASEAN Chair until December 31 before the Philippines taking the charge from 1 January 2017.
