Bahrain lauded for successful Paralympics Games, outstanding performances

Manama, Mar. 9 (BNA): Bahrain has staged an outstanding and successful West Asia Paralympics Games thanks to the tremendous support accorded by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Sports and Youth Minister Ayman bin Tawfeeq Al Moayyad said. The support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, was also instrumental in the success of the third Paralympics Games hosted by Bahrain last month, he added. "We laud the great support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, to the Paralympic Games which greatly motivated all those involved in them," he said. Al Moayyad expressed gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee for his directives to all parties to ensure the success of the Games The Kingdom’s hosting of the West Asian Paralympic Games - Bahrain 2022 was the latest addition to the long list of international championships and competitions held in Bahrain in the past years, and in which it impressed everyone with its good organization and management, Al Moayyad said. The minister paid tribute to the organizing committee and the keenness of the Bahraini Paralympics Committee president Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa on ensuring that all requirements and needs are met. Al Moayyad commended the outstanding achievements by the Bahraini athletes who won 39 medals in the Games.
