Manama, Jan. 10 (BNA): Bahrain’s most talented race car drivers and bikers will be showcasing their skills at Bahrain International Circuit on Saturday in the fourth round of National Race Day.
The Kingdom’s most hotly contested circuit racing championships will be hitting the tarmac. They include the BIC 2,000cc Challenge, the Bahrain Superbike Championship (BSBK), the Bahrain Motorcycle Racing (BMR) 600 and the BSSB 125.
Action gets underway at 12.15pm under the afternoon sun and continues until 10pm when BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Track will be brilliantly illuminated by the circuit’s state-of-the-art floodlighting system. All are welcome to attend and enjoy the full day’s racing at BIC. Tickets are available at the gate.
The 2,000cc Challenge will be holding the fourth round of its 2017/2018 season. Practice on Saturday will be at 2.15pm, to be followed by Qualifying at 4.15pm to determine the start grid for Race One at 7.03pm. Race Two will be at 8.53pm, which will be the last action of the day.
The BSBK will be holding their third round of the championship this season. Their first session at 1.40pm will be a Practice, then at 3.50pm Qualifying. Race One flags off at 6.27pm, to be followed by Race Two at 8.17pm.
There will also be racing in the BSSB 125, which is the new class in the BSBK. These riders will be holding Practice at 12.30pm and then Qualifying at 3pm. That sets up the grid for the only race of the day at 5.17pm.
