BOC congratulates Nasser bin Hamad

Manama, Nov. 26 (BNA): Secretary-general of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Bahrain Olympic Committee, Abdulrahman Askar, has congratulated the Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman and BOC President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for qualifying for the Ironman World Championship, to be held in Hawaii in October 2018. HH Shaikh Nasser booked his berth in the international event after winning first place in the Ironman Middle East Amateur Championship, in Bahrain on November 23- 25. Askar said Shaikh Nasser’s deserved victory in this event reflects Bahrain’s strides and ability to compete in various international championships. He commended the outstanding organisation of the championship that mirrors Bahrain's ability to host and organise high-profile world sporting events. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad for his support which had a positive impact, earning Bahrain landmark achievements and championships.
