BOC participates in regional forum

Manama, May 7 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) representatives Maryam Mardana and Maryam Al Madhi have attended the Olympic Solidarity (OS)/Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Regional Forum in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The two-day Olympic forum was for National Olympic Committees from three of the OCA’s five zones – South Asia, South East Asia and East Asia, with more than 25 national Olympic committee in attendance. On the sidelines of the forum, the Bahraini pair met the organizing committee of the 18th Asian Games, to be held in Jakarta in August, and discussed registration process and latest preparations in regards to the games. The forum is a great opportunity for National Olympic Committees representatives to exchange expertise and ideas, consolidate relations and learn about the latest developments in the Olympic movement in Asia.
