Brazilian president says hopes to see Russia and Brazil in 2018 FIFA World Cup finals

MOSCOW, June 20. /TASS/. Brazilian President Michel Temer said on Tuesday he hopes to see country’s national football team facing Russia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.
"We should not forget about such major event as the forthcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup. Our sincere wish is to see Brazil’s and Russia’s national teams in the final match," he said on Tuesday at a meeting with speaker of the Russian State Duma lower parliament house Vyacheslav Volodin.
"That’s tremendous flattery," Volodin said in response. "When I was in Brazil back in 2004, I saw how much attention you pay to football. The number of football pitches around your capital city is impressing. Obviously, we have much to learn from you as far as football is concerned as you focus on what is forming professional schools and opens paths to victories, work with children and create conditions for their practicing football."
For next year’s FIFA World Cup, Russia is offering up 11 host cities to be the venues for the matches of world’s major football competition and they are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara.
The games of the 2018 World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums located in the 11 above-mentioned cities across Russia. Two of the stadiums are located in the Russian capital of Moscow.
