BREEF commends HH Shaikh Nasser's Ironman 70.3 achievement

Manama, Sep. 12 (BNA): HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) has commended the achievement of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Chattanooga, USA. HH Shaikh Nasser completed all stages of the race within a record 4:27:21 hours’ time as follows: swimming 1:93 km in 31:30, cycling 90.1 km within 2:22, running 21.1 km in 1:28. His Highness competed and won the 27th place among 3,000 triathletes from around the world. HH Shaikh Faisal commended HH Shaikh Nasser’s efficiency and capabilities in this strenuous sport. He also praised HH Shaikh Nasser’s positive role in promoting the Kingdom of Bahrain and hoisting its flag at the various athletic gatherings through his plausible achievements that placed the country on the world map of sports. He considered HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa as an outstanding example to be followed by ambitious youth and sportspeople.
