BREEF showjumping tournament winners honoured

Manama, March 19 (BNA): President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa honoured the winners of the federation’s showjumping tournament that was held on the grounds of the Military Sports Federation in Al Raffa, Sakhir. Jockey Ali Isa won the Grand Prix of the tournament which consisted of hurdles height of 120-130 cm and course speed of 350m/m. Ali Isa finished a flawless two-course round on the steed Alikaro in 62.22 seconds. He was followed by Hussain Dadallah who placed second within 54.81 seconds and with four flaws. The third place went to Sami Ghazwan who finished in 54.98 with eight flaws. Two contests were held for juniors category consisting of hurdles height of 85-95cm and 95-105cm with the same course speed of 300m/m. The first contest was dominated by Amy Keane riding the horse DJ and finishing in 31.52 seconds. Mustafa Dadallah won the second juniors competition after completing the round in 43.18 seconds with 44 points. The remaining two contests were for the adults category. The title of the first round went to rider Ali Isa who finished in 31.43 seconds with 44 points. The contest consisted of hurdles height of 95-105cm and course speed of 350m/m. The final completion of the day consisted of hurdles height of 110-115cm and course speed of 350m/m (Two Phase). Basel Al Dossary won the round on the horse Sheka in 24.21 seconds.
