Denizli agrees to join Iran`s Persepolis – report

TEHRAN, Dec.24 (MNA)--Mustafa Denizli reportedly accepted an offer to become the next coach of Persepolis football team. Denizli will join Persepolis in January on a18-month contract, according to Zaman. The 61-year-old Turk will replace Hamid Estili, who stepped down as the coach of Persepolis after Esteghlal knocked the team out of Iran’s Hazfi Cup on December 10. Denizli had already refused Tehran-based popular club’s offer in September. Denizli has worked in Persepolis football team in 2006-07 season but has never won a cup in the most popular team. Persepolis has already negotiated with big names Sven Goran Eriksson, Bora Milutinovic and Roberto Donadoni.
