FIA Formula 1 Race Director arrives in Bahrain

Manama, Mar. 29 (BNA): Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) Administrations Director Abdulrahman Qarata welcomed to the Kingdom of Bahrain today FIA Formula 1 Race Director Charlie Whiting. Qarata received Whiting upon his arrival at the VIP Area at Bahrain International Airport. He expressed his delight in welcoming back the high-ranking motorsport official to the island, and relayed the greetings of the BIC Board, management and staff. Whiting has arrived less than 8 days ahead of the start of the Formula 1 2018 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix weekend, which takes place April 6 to 8 at BIC in Sakhir. BIC has arranged teams of Meet and Greet staff to welcome Bahrain’s guests upon touching down at the airport and assisting them on their arrival formalities.
