HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Meets BOC General Secretary

Manama, July 24 (BNA): First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received General Secretary of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), Abdulrahman Askar, to review the latest preparations made by BOC ahead of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the efforts exerted by BOC under the chairmanship of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, which have allowed the Kingdom of Bahrain makes huge strides in the area of sports, especially in the year 2018 which witnessed the launch of the "Year of Gold" initiative by HH Shaikh Nasser. "Bahrain is full of promising young people who have great capabilities and are equipped with patriotism and determination to do their utmost to raise the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain in various international and continental forums," he said, adding: "We hope Bahrain will accomplish great results in the Asian Games which will be held next month," The BOC Secretary General seized the opportunity of meeting HH Shaikh Khalid to congratulate him and the members of the Bahrain Athletics Association members on the results achieved by the Bahraini athletes in the West Asian Games, praising HH Shaikh Nasser's vision in steering BOC towards unique successes.
