HH Shaikh Khalid receives UFC star

Manama, July 7 (BNA) : HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honorary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF), received here today Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) star Zabit Akhmedovich Magomedsharipov. The 27-year-old is in the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He is one of the most famous faces in the light weight of the world's top MMA promotion. HH Shaikh Khalid expressed his delight at his presence in the Kingdom, stating that his visit would have positive impacts on the MMA sport in Bahrain. "Magomedsharipove's visit to Bahrain will inspire KHK MMA members and will encourage them to double their efforts to obtain more positive results in this sport," HH Shaikh Khalid said. UFC star expressed his deepest gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid for his efforts towards promoting the MMA sport in the region and HH's contributions, including the establishment of KHK MMA and the Brave Combat Federation which is attracting the world's top MMA fighters. "My visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain will be an eventful one as we are planning to organise a training camp with KHK MMA fighters to prepare for my next bout in the UFC. I hope through this camp to exchange my experience with KHK MMA fighters," Magomedhsaripove said. It's worth noting that the 27-year-old Russian fighter achieved his 15th victory in UFC in April, defeating Kyle Bochniak.
