His Highness Shaikh Mohammed attends final match of Under-19 Bahrain International Football Tournament

Manama, Mar. 28 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, today attended the final match of the Under-19 Bahrain International Football Tournament held under his patronage, at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium. Upon his arrival, His Highness was received by His Excellency Mr. Saleh bin Isa Binhindi, Advisor to His Majesty the King for Youth and Sports Affairs along with several other senior officials. During the match, His Highness stressed the important role Bahraini youth athletes play as global ambassadors for the Kingdom. His Highness then reaffirmed the leadership's support in facilitating key opportunities, including this tournament, to develop Bahraini youths' abilities across all sectors and disciplines. His Highness went on to highlight the significance of international sporting events hosted by Bahrainand their contribution to the development of the Kingdom’s sports sector. In this regard, His Highness praised the efforts of the tournament organisers as well as the Bahraini Federation for Football for their support to football development programmes across the Kingdom. His Highness then emphasised that the Kingdom continues to showcase its world-class capabilities as a leading international event organiser, noting the country’s on-going efforts to deliver a successfulFormula One Grand Prix this weekend. At the end of the match, His Highness congratulated the Mexican national team on their superior performance throughout the tournament, awarding them the tournament's trophy. His Highness awarded second place medals to the national football team of Mali.
