Iranian runner gains World Armies’ bronze medal

Shiraz, IRNA – Mohammad Mehdi Kosari, a runner from Dar-Negoon suburb of Iranian Southern Shiraz city, has won the 2022 4th Russia Military World Summer Games (CISM) bronze medal. Kosari’s bronze medal is for the 400-meter running race of CISM, and the athlete arrived in his hometown amid the warm reception ceremony of a number of his citizens, as well as Fars province sports and government officials. He told an IRNA correspondent on the sidelines of the ceremony that a large number of the young residents of his area's villages are competent sports men and women with unique capabilities. The CISM bronze medal winner added that if sufficient sports facilities and budget are allocated for those villagers they can create a lot more pride for Iran and the Iranians at the national and international scenes. The 4th Russia Military World Summer Games (CISM) were held from August 4 to 14 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The CISM competitions were held in seven fields, namely shooting, field and track, swimming, volleyball, and summer two-track biathlon, five track military completions, and distinguishing directions.
