Khalid bin Hamad's initiatives praised by Industry minister

Manama, July 29 (BNA) : Guests of the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League, held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honorary President of Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation, praised the remarkable development witnessed by the sixth edition of the league and the broad scope of participation to include many official and civil authorities and bodies.  The league is held this year with the wide participation of youth centres, national clubs, young women, disabled individuals, ministries and communities. The launch of the Ministries’ League witnessed a significant turnout through the attendance of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism , Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Assistant Undersecretary of Resources and Information at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, Arif Al Mansouri, Assistant Undersecretary of Radio and Television Affairs Abdullah Khalid Al Dosari, and Acting Director of Bahrain TV Bassam Al Ansari, as well as the Assistant Coach of Bahrain National Football team, Khalid Taj. Fruitful initiatives  Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani affirmed that the initiatives of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa have assumed several dimensions and aspects, both in sports and humanitarianism and even innovation. “These initiatives are beginning to bear fruit and take their place in society by integrating different segments of the community," he said, praising HH's idea of organising a special league for ministries in order to encourage exercise, attention to health and other positive aspects. He further added: "These initiatives have achieved numerous gains for Bahraini sports and the community, in light of the increased participation of more than 80 teams and over 1000 players, as well as the integration of ministries, communities, disabled persons and young women in this league. Any observer of the league can clearly perceive that is a microcosm of Bahraini society.” Splendid gathering Al Mansouri expressed his great happiness at his presence in such a vibrant gathering for youth, stressing that this event helps in developing a sense of belonging to the country. He pointed out the keenness and interest of HH Shaikh Khalid in all the segments of the Bahraini society, saying that the establishment of a special league for the ministries as part of Khalid bin Hamad League is a pioneering initiative of its kind and would have a great impact on this category by giving them the opportunity to create all the appropriate conditions to encourage them to practice sports in a competitive environment. Ministries’ League results The Ministry of Interior’s team opened their Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League campaign with a big 7-2 win over the Ministry of Information Affairs, held at Khalifa Sports City on Saturday. Both teams are in Group 1. Abdullah Mohammed of the Ministry of Interior largely contributed to this win, winning the best man of the match award in the process. Furthermore, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications team defeated the Ministry of Housing team by the same result in Group 2. Mohammed Younis Ashoor contributed four goals for the winners en route to being named the best man of the match. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health team thrashed the Institute of Public Administration 14-1. Nasser Hilal Masha’an found the net five times and took home the best player of the game award. Furthermore, Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs team drubbed the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism 4-1 in Group 1. Akbar Saeed found the net twice and won the best player of the match.
