Kingdom's flag to hover high at Rio2016

Manama, Aug. 3 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, West Asian Athletics Association President and President of Bahrain Athletic Federation, directed a message to athletes calling for them to represent with honour and to hoist high the name and flag of our beloved country. His Highness added, that: "I see our athletes participating with a large number in the Brazil Olympics, as a model of honour to what they gave during the last phase. The Rio 2016 Olympic Games is an important destination for us, and we look forward to complete the joy by raising the flag of the country in the Olympic games with the determination, strength and ambitions that Bahraini citizens are known for, by competing honourably when they meet the best athletes around the world. We are confident in the capabilities of our children, who will be an example of honour during the Olympic games in all aspects, whether it's athletic, artistic, or administrative and they will be the best ambassadors of their precious country." His Highness concluded by saying: "We give our heartfelt thanks to the Council members of the Bahrain Athletic Association and the rest of the Council heads of archery, swimming and self-defense departments for the considerable efforts they are making to develop and promote the sports. I appreciate the efforts of the technical and administrative members, who prepare and train the male runners and female runners to participate in various tournaments. "
