Kyrgyz chess players win gold medals at tournament in Italy

Bishkek, June 18, 2019. /Kabar/. Athletes from Kyrgyzstan won two medals at the 6th Chess Festival City of Cattolica in Italy. The tournament was held in Kattolika city on June 8-14, in which two Kyrgyzstanis won gold medals, the press service of the Chess Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. Islam Baisynov scored 7 points in the "B" (2000 ELO) category, becoming the winner of the gold medal. Another award went to Nurlan Shergaliyev, who performed in category “C” and also became the gold medalist of the event.
