Kyrgyzstan’s Darya Maslova wins license for Tokyo Olympics

Bishkek, Dec.2, 2019 /Kabar/. Long-distance runner from Kyrgyzstan Darya Maslova achieved the qualifying standards for participation in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. Track and field athlete Maslova took part in the international marathon, which was held in Valencia (Spain). The tournament was held on Dec.1 with the participation of 5 thousand athletes. The athlete from Kyrgyzstan went the distance with the result of 2 hours 28 minutes 19 seconds. The Olympic standard for the marathon is 2 hours 29 minutes 30 seconds. Note that earlier, swimmer Denis Petrashov, track and field athlete Yulia Andreyeva, wrestlers Atabek Azizbekov and Aisuluu Tynybekova won a license for Tokyo Olympics. The 2020 Summer Olympics officially known as the Games of the XXXII Olympiad and commonly known as Tokyo 2020, is an upcoming international multi-sport event that is scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020 in Tokyo, Japan, with preliminary events in some sports beginning on 22 July.
