Kyrgyzstanis earns gold of weightlifting tournament in Iran

Bishkek, Feb.4, 2020. /Kabar/. Weightlifter from Kyrgyzstan Bekdoolot Rasulbekov successfully performed at the International Fajr Cup Tournament, the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. The competitions are held these days in the city of Rasht (Iran). Rasulbekov competed in the 96 kg weight category. In snatch, the Kyrgyz athlete showed the result of 165 kg, winning a small gold award. Rasulbekov lifted 206 kg in the clean and jerk, winning a small silver medal. In the overall standings with the result of 371 kg the Kyrgyzstani took the first place in his weight. These competitions are rating events, the points earned will help to win the license for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
