Malaysia To Host First Asia Golf Tourism Convention

KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 (Bernama) -- The International Association of Golf Tour Operators will host its first Asia Golf Tourism Convention in Malaysia. About 140 golf tour operators from 39 countries, including those in Europe, will participate in the three-day convention, beginning April 22, at the Palace of the Golden Horses in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. Malaysia Golf Tourism Association (MGTA) chairman Paul Gibbons said Wednesday, the convention was co-organised by MGTA and Tourism Malaysia. He told a press conference at the Malaysia Tourism Information Centre here that Malaysia was an ideal golf destination with over 200 courses to choose from, in a variety of landscapes. -- BERNAMA
