Massive support for Brazilian MMA fighter
Manama, Sep. 13 (BNA): Undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and with a promising future ahead, the 25-year-old Brazilian Thiago Vieira is already a big hit in his home country, prior to his international debut in Brave Combat Federation 1 main event, against the Middle Eastern legend Mohammad Fakhreddine, on September 23rd, in Bahrain.
"Monstro" -- which literally means "Monster" -- saw his popularity peaks over the last weeks, following the announcement of his fight against Fakhreddine, and immediately became a fan favorite among his fellow countrymen.
Thiago's social media turned themselves into a wall of supportive messages from the Brazilian fans. Also, Vieira is starring the recently released "Brave Episodes" show, in which he presents a little more of his life and training, in addition to details about story.
The fighter's heartbreaking story, by the way, is one of the reasons that the Brazilian fans are now so connected to him. Thiago lost his older brother due to cancer when he was a teenager and always mentions the sibling as one of his biggest inspiration and motivation to keep fighting, and winning.
But the "Thiago Fever" didn't attack only the fans. The Brazilian media is now also tracking every step of the Brave star, and he's always on MMA-related articles and videos across the country.
"We will be closely following the first Brave Combat Federation, specially due to Thiago Vieira's fight at the main event of the evening", said the reporter Bruno Ferreira. "Hopefully, after the inaugural card in Bahrain, we will see an event in Brazil soon. We're really looking forward to it".
