Nasser bin Hamad ranks first in award contest

Riyadh, Jan. 4 (BNA): His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa ranked first in the King Abdulaziz Festival Award for Camels in Saudi Arabia. The two-year camel "Shawama", owned by HH Shaikh Nasser, topped the "Almajaheem" contest, outclassing other participants from the GCC countries who were engaged in a fierce competition. This is the first time HH Shaikh Nasser takes part in the award, named after the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The festival is being held under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud at Al Sayaheed, in Al-Dahna’a. HH Shaikh Nasser expressed congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, stressing the importance of the achievement which, he said, augurs well for a better future laden with excellent results in the coming festivals. He paid tribute to HM the King, hailing royal keenness on reviving longstanding Bahraini heritage and supporting initiatives aimed at conserving heritage.
