Olympic solidarity course concludes
Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) organised a course for cycling coaches in cooperation with the Bahrain Cycling Association (BCA) recently.
This five-day course, supported by the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Solidarity, was a level 1 training programme for national coaches and aimed at developing their skills and provide them with acquired experience for future challenges.
BCA president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the final day of the course and presented the participants with certificates of recognition, in the presence of veteran BOC’s Olympic Academy Saeed Al Aradi, Olympic Solidarity section head Maryam Mardana and other BCA board members.
Shaikh Khalid thanked the organisers and commended their efforts as well as international instructor Waleed Al Zamani for presenting this course.
Maryam affirmed BOC commitment to provide such courses for all national sports federations in an attempt to qualify their technical and administrative staff. She noted the importance of national coaches as a segment of any sports development in the country.
