Outstanding Mixed Martial Arts fight on September 23

Manama, Aug. 25 (BNA): Brave Combat Federation premier show on September 23 will feature American grappler Richie “The Boogieman” Martinez (3-1) as he flies over to Bahrain to take on Egypt’s Ahmed “The Butcher” Amir (5-1) in a promising Mixed Martial Arts fight. Brave has promised to bring over to Bahrain the world’s top fighters in Mixed Martial Arts, giving middle-eastern fighters the opportunity to test their skills against elite competition and this is the perfect way to start. Martinez is an expert in Brazilian JiuJitsu, with a black belt under Eddie Bravo which makes this an interesting clash of styles and an opportunity for Amir to showcase his own abilities against a high-caliber opponent. Amir is also well adept at fighting on the ground and has won his last four fights all by submission, which will give him confidence going into this battle between grapplers. Martinez went (3-1) in MMA before competing on the grappling circuit for the last two years, perfecting his skills, amassing a 13-6 record. "The Boogeyman" is famous in the JiuJitsu world and is one of the “Freak Brothers” alongside his brother Gio. He is a master of ground warfare, with all his MMA wins coming by way of submission. In this MMA bout, where one can win via a myriad of methods, “The Butcher” may be wary of taking the fight to the ground against the JiuJitsu wizard, who particularly loves to catch his opponents in his favorite submission - the Japanese Necktie. Amir has very apt hands, which he may decide to use against the man who has grappled for the last two years, who would love the fight to take place on the mat. With the recent absence of his need to use fists, Martinez may not be so comfortable in a fist fight.
