Phoenix football team crowned

Manama, June 15 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)'s secretary-general Abdulrahman Askar crowned the winners of the Women's Football Tournament which was held as part of the second HH Shaikh Nasser Ramadan Games "Nasser 9". Present during the event was Tawfeeq Salehi, the Organising Committee Head, Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, the Head of the Women's Committee in the Bahrain Football Association and the Head of the Tournament Hussain Ismail. Phoenix beat Sky team in the penalty shootout in the final game of the match. Sky player Shaikha Al Anood Al Khalifa won the best player of the tournament after her superb performance, while Phoenix goalkeeper Dana Noor won the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Her teammate Deena Abdulrahman topped the scoring chart of the tournament. Mr. Askar, during the closing ceremony, extended his congratulations to the winners, hailing the high displays showcased by the participating teams during the tournament. On her behalf, Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, asserted that the tournament proved it was a success due to the support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
