Manama, Jan. 31 (BNA): Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar commended the history of Al Hilal, Muharraq and the Bahrain national football team, Rashid Sharida, and his contribution to Bahraini football as a player, coach and journalist.
Askar also expressed admiration for the book "My Story with Football", which was prepared by Sharida, in which he reminisced about his years with football, domestically, and internationally, in addition to his years at the school team.
This came during his reception of Sharida, who presented Askar with a copy of his book, where he noted that this book is a valuable addition to the Bahraini sports library as it tells the journey of many years of giving and sacrifices.
During the meeting, Askar recalled the experiences of Sharida in football fields of Bahrain, describing this publication as a true document of this long journey and for those remarkable years.
Sharida commended the efforts of the BOC general secretary and its president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, leading Bahrain to the development of sports, locally, and internationally.
