Qatar 2022: Uruguay Coach Disappointed after Leaving World Cup

Doha, December 02 (QNA) - Uruguay coach Diego Alonso expressed his great disappointment following his team's exit from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, despite its 2-0 victory over Ghana. The 47-year-old coach said in the press conference his team played in a 4-4-2 formation tactics and relied on the sides as well as playing in depth, and succeeded in controlling the flows and scored on two occasions, the team had several opportunities to consolidate the result with the third goal, which would have qualified Uruguay for the last 16, but the players were not successful in scoring. Alonso concluded by saying he is happy with the work he has done since taking charge of coaching the national team, and not yet decided to continue coaching Uruguay or not. (QNA)
