Rantanen performs first surgery in Bahrain

Manama, Aug. 17 (BNA): Finnish orthopedic surgeon Dr Jussi Rantanen recently conducted the first surgery for the National Sports Medicine Centre during his visit to Bahrain. Rantanen’s visit is part of the new strategy of the centre in an attempt to provide quality medical treatment services for the patients. Sports Medicine Centre director Dr Khalid Al Shaikh said the centre will offer more similar services by hosting a number of the world’s most experienced surgeons of different specialties. Al Shaikh thanked the visiting doctor, who performed various surgeries for a number of sports celebrities from all around the world. The Finnish doctor, who has been an orthopedic surgeon since 1998, has revealed 27 injuries for national athletes during this short three-day visit.
