SCYS chairman receives AFC president

Manama, Mar. 29 (BNA): His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received Asia Football Confederation (AFC) president Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and VP of the International Football Federation (FIFA) for Asia continent. In the presence of several youth and sports officials and heads of clubs, HH Shaikh Nasser commended Shaikh Salman as one of Bahrain's most outstanding professional football supporters. Shaikh Salman gave Asian football more confidence and shouldered the big responsibility of leading Asian football to more successes and achieving its aspirations to develop and to become more competitive vis-à-vis all the rest of the world continents, he added. Shaikh Salman has been the best representative of his country in FIFA presidential elections who is highly regarded in world football circles and capable of developing the AFC and contribution in reforming the FIFA, HH Shaikh Nasser added.
