Sharjah Arab Sportswomen Tournament praised

Manama, Feb. 4 (BNA): Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of National Arab Olympic Committees Federation, Second Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports, commended the fourth Arab Sportswomen Tournament in Sharjah. The tournament reflects the attentiveness of national Olympic committees with women sports activities in the Arab countries aimed to empower Arab sportswomen and boost their capable presence internationally, he said. "Sharjah’s hosting this tournament for the fourth time consecutively under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Jawahir bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of Ruler of Sharjah, Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and President of Sharjah Sportswomen Foundation, mirrors the progress of sportswomen and hoisting their country’s flag at the various external functions," Shaikh Isa told Bahrain News Agency (BNA). He praised Sharjah for dedicating all the potentials and facilities to ensure the success of this tournament in partnership with Arab countries’ national Olympic committees in hosting the event eagerly anticipated by all Arab sportswomen. Shaikh Isa expressed big confidence in the tournament’s success in view of the tremendous efforts exerted by the High Organising Committee spearheaded by Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi in the preparations for the biennial tournament, affirming its importance in discovering talented Arab sportswomen.
