Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Senior athletes grabbed 18 medals in the 17th Asia Masters Athletics Championship which took place November 2-7 in Chinese Taipei.
This year's events brought together 8,000 senior athletes. Mongolia was represented by a team of 27 people. They have collected the medals in the long and short-distance hurdles, shot put, discus and javelin throw.

A State Honored Sportsman and Olympic bronze medalist Kh.Tsagaanbaatar will compete in the single tournament for master judoists of men's 66 kg to run December 5 in Moscow, Russia.
Initiated by Russia's Judo Federation (RJF), the tournament will be co-organized by the International Judo Federation (IJF) together with the RJF among top 16 judoists by the IJF's latest rankings. Apart of Kh.Tsagaanbaatar, other top-ranked judoists have been invited from Russia, Japan and Georgia. According to the organizers, the prize fund has EUR 66 thousand, and the winner will receive EUR 30 thousand.

Senior judoists have left for the USA to compete in the Masters' Judo World Championship to be held November 8-11 in Miami, Florida. The Mongolian team has comprised State Honored Sportsmen G.Jamsran, D.Battulga; international masters of sports D.Batsaikhan, Ya.Dorj, S.Erkhembayar, Ts.Ochirbat and J.Nyamdorj.
