Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A State Honored Sportsman Kh.Tsagaanbaatar left on Wednesday for Russia to compete in the ECCO Judo Hero Challenge, a single tournament for master judoists of men's 66 kg to run December 15 in Moscow, Russia. Initiated by Russia's Judo Federation (RJF), the tournament will be co-organized by the International Judo Federation (IJF) together with the RJF among top 16 judoists by the IJF's latest rankings. Apart of Kh.Tsagaanbaatar, other top-ranked judoists have been invited from Russia, Japan and Georgia. According to the organizers, the prize fund has EUR 66 thousand, and the winner will receive EUR 30 thousand. In this month, Tsagaanbaatar grabbed two bronze medals in the Tokyo Grand Slam and the Jeju World Cup, in the weight categories of 73 and 81 kg. ** ** ** A regular session of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MonNOC) has been scheduled on December 19. It was reported on Wednesday. The forthcoming session will bring together the MonNOC members and representatives of sports federations. They will elect a new president of the MonNOC, and members of the Executive Council and Board of Monitoring. The MonNOC president election candidates are D.Zagdsuren, the current president of the MonNOC; D.Bayasgalan, the MonNOC vice-president and the general finance expert of the International University Sports Federation (FISU); and D.Dorligjav, the vice-president of the Mongolian Judo Federation (MJF).
