Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A State Honored Figure of Culture and current Secretary-general of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MonNOC) was re-elected to the post at the first meeting of the Olympic committee's Executive Council Thursday. Prior to this, the Executive Council has selected its members to serve for next four years in accordance with the MonNOC's rule. The council includes D.Zagdsuren, the MonNOC president; Sh.Magvan, a honorary member of the International Olympic Committee; B.Bat-Erdene (Association of Sports Management); J.Khatanbaatar (Sports medicine); Ts.Davaasuren (skiing); E.Monkh-Ochir (shooting); Ts.Damdin (Kurash wrestling); D.Sugar (draughts); D.Dorligjav (judo); L.Khaltar (gymnastics); and Ch.Zorigtbaatar (athletics). Moreover, D.Dorligjav has been elected the MonNOC's first deputy president, and Ts.Damdin, J.Khatanbaatar and E.Monkh-Ochir--the deputy presidents. ** ** ** Mongolian National Basketball Association (MNBA) held Thursday its first session in the State House. It has brought together some 120 people such as leaders of the city and aimags' basketball clubs and representatives of Uvs, Bayan-Olgii, Dornogobi, Darkhan-Ul and Orkhon aimags. During the session, the incumbent Minister of Social Welfare and Population Development S.Erdene was selected the MNBA's president. In addition, the participants discussed an issue of founding a basketball palace and its design. ** ** ** The Fourth Winter Games of Mongolia, Russia and China will take place on December 22-25 in Manchuria, China. This year's Games will be organized under a motto “Snow melody, ice charm Manchuria city”. The 9th international fashion contest and a festival of ice and snow carving will take place.
