Tourney details to be announced

Manama, Aug. 21 (BNA): The Ministry of Youth and Sports is holding a press conference to announce the details of the first Handicapped League tournament which will take place as part of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League. The League was instructed to be held by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khaifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sport and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, as a token of appreciation from His Highness to this dear segment of the society in an effort to integrate them into society. The move was well-received among the Bahraini community, who were full of praise for this initiative which will help in integrating people with disabilities in the society. During the press conference, the tossup of the league will be conducted, as the participating teams will be divided into two groups, three teams each. The winners of first and second places in each group will progress to the semi-finals. The event will begin on August 24, while the semi-finals and the final game will be held on August 30 and September 3 respectively. The Organising Committee of the League has held a meeting to follow the latest developments ahead of hosting the event, and scrutinised the Federation’s hall which is hosting the event. The meeting was attended by Nawar Al Mutawa, Hamad Al Jaber, Ali Al Nabhan, Najem Yousif, Hazim Al Shaikh, Salman Al Yasi, Ibrahim Al Bouri, Ibrahim Qamber, Nawaf Al Thawadi and Hussain Al Durazi.
