UAE President gets honour award from Turf Club Association

Dublin: President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been honoured by the Association of Turf Club of Ireland in recognition of his outstanding role in supporting horse racing at the global level and his keenness to pay attention to the purebred Arabian horses. H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President and President of Emirates Equestrian Federation received, on behalf of the President, the honorary award presented by the Association. Dr. Sheikh also received the honorary membership of the Association, which includes many of the personalities associated with the horse racing and supporting the equestrian sport at global level during a ceremony, which was held on the sidelines of the annual Irish Guineas Festival in Ireland. He emphasised that the honouring is a source of pride to the UAE for its efforts and attention to horses in general and Arabian horses in particular. The ceremony was also attended by Khalid Nasser Rashid Lootah, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland, officials and those interested in the sports of horse in Ireland, including the Irish parliament speaker and a number of ambassadors of sisterly and friendly countries accredited to Ireland. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
