Youth Ministry receives Egyptian delegation

Manama, Mar. 10 (BNA): In line with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Egypt’s Youth and Sports Minister, Khalid Abdulaziz, in the youth field of youth and sports, an Egyptian delegation is currently on a visit to Bahrain to be informed about the experience of the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry and the kingdom in the field of information technology (IT).
Under the third clause of the MoU, the two brotherly countries are required to exchange information and successful experiences in the IT field.
The delegation, including officials from Egypt’s Youth and Sports Ministry, visited the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry, and met Undersecretary for Youth Development, Eman Faisal Janahi.
Janahi welcomed the delegation, and lauded the good relations between the two countries in various fields, citing the youth and sports sector in which the two sides exchange successful experience, which, she said, has reflected positively on the youth and sports movement in the two brotherly countries.
The Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry, led by Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowdar, is keen on enhancing cooperation with its Egyptian counterpart to implement the provisions of the youth agreement between them, the undersecretary said.
She also highlighted the international awards launched by Bahrain for the sake of empowering youth and encouraging them to showcase their creativity and skills.
The Egyptian delegation also visited the Ministry’s IT department, and was briefed on the e-services delivered to the public, the Ministry’s mobile application, the Ministry’s website, as well as on its cooperation with various world companies, including Microsoft.
