Les Copaque Bags 'Digital Indonesian League 2016' Award

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 4 (Bernama) -- Les Copaque has bagged the 'Digital Indonesian League 2016' award in the games category for its 'Upin & Ipin Demi Metromillenium' mobile game app. The game app is a multinational collaborative effort between Les Copaque Games Development Inc (Malaysia) and Agate Studio (Indonesia). In a statement Thursday, Multimedia Development Corp (MDeC) said the award was given by the event’s organiser, Teknopreneur, at the Mobile Developers Gathering 2016 held in Jakarta recently. "Les Copaque has always been a great example of Malaysia’s talents and the Upin & Ipin game is a wonderful product that will inspire more multinational collaborations as the Asean region grows as one big community within the creative industry," said MDeC Director of Creative Multimedia Hasnul Hadi. Les Copaque's Managing Director, Burhanuddin Md Radzi, said the company hoped to continue working on more cross-border projects. "We can all grow the industry as a unified community under the region," he said. Les Copaque, a Multimedia Super Corridor-status company, was set up in 2005 to spearhead Malaysia's animation industry and provide opportunities for local graduates to showcase their talents. -- BERNAMA
