President To Unveil Space Center

Tehran, June 9, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will inaugurate the first comprehensive space center Sunday. The center will be inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of appointment of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to prophethood. Minister of Defense and Logistics of the Armed Forces Brigadier-General Ahmad Vahidi and senior government and defense officials will be present in the ceremony. The center, named after Imam Jafar Sadeq (AS), the sixth Imam of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Infallible Household, will monitor airspace and intercept intrusion into territorial space by aircraft.
