Paragliding to Be Promoted As Tourism Product During VMY 2020

KUALA LANGAT (Selangor, Malaysia), Sept 25 (Bernama) -- Paragliding will be promoted as a tourism product during Visit Malaysia Year 2020 to attract foreign tourists who love the sport. Malaysian Deputy Tourism and Culture Minister, Mas Ermieyati Samsudin said in order to promote the country as a destination for extreme sports, the infrastructure and facilities for it must also be improved. She said two locations in Malaysia’s Selangor state had been identified to promote paragliding, namely Bukit Jugra in Kuala Langat and Bukit Batu Pahat in Kuala Kubu Bharu. "However, the infrastructure for paragliding in Kuala Kubu Bharu must be upgraded in order to draw foreign tourists,” she told reporters when met after taking a tandem paragliding ride here, Monday. Mas Ermieyati said paragliding was also part of efforts to draw tourists who love greenery and nature. -- BERNAMA
