Perak Aims For 200,000 Tourists From China Next Year

IPOH (Perak, Malaysia) Dec 13 (Bernama) - Perak aims to receive at least 200,000 tourists from China next year in conjunction with the Visit Perak Year 2017. State Exco for Tourism, Arts, Culture, Communications and Multimedia, Nolee Ashilin Mohd Radzi said this was based on talks between tourism industry players in Perak and China. "The Ministry of Tourism and Culture hopes four million tourists from China will visit Malaysia next year. We expect 10 percent or at least 200,000 will visit Perak. "The state government and the private sector have planned strategies to draw more tourists from China including having direct flight from China to Perak," she told reporters after Ipoh-Shenzen-Guangzhou Business-to-Business programme, here Tuesday. The two-day programme which gathers 22 tourism industry players from Shenzhen and Guangzhou aims to introduce them to Perak's tourism products. --BERNAMA
