Suria Hot Spring Bentong, A Haven for City-Dwellers
By Nor Amirah Mahmuddin
BENTONG (Pahang), Jan 10 (Bernama) -- For city-dwellers wishing to escape the city’s hustle-bustle, the Bentong hot spring resort by Syariah-compliant ‘eRYA by SURIA’, with its greenery and tropical rainforest ambiance, provides the ideal vacation destination with family and friends.
Located 69 kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur via the Karak Expressway, which is about an hour’s drive from the city, the resort is a hotspot for nature lovers, for it assures a unique experience for visitors.
The resort’s operations and customer service manager, Muhammad Rizal Tairan, said among the attraction at the resort was the inviting warmth of the natural hot spring, which had become a ‘must’ for its guests.
He said guests at the resort could use the 43 degrees Celsius hot spring for free, while visitors were charged RM10 for adult, RM8 for children and RM6 for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (OKU) .
"The hot spring offers numerous health benefits, such as to stimulate blood circulation, reduce stress and give a positive effect on the skin,” he said.
Muhammad Rizal said the hot spring water was also changed twice a week to ensure its quality and hygiene.
He said the resort, which started operations three years ago, adopted a family and corporate-friendly concept and offered 80 rooms that were equipped with various facilities, depending on the room type, as well as a special room for the OKU.
The resort has 20 deluxe quad rooms, 39 deluxe triple rooms, one deluxe triple ‘disabled-friendly’ room and 20 jacuzzi villa units.
The rooms are priced between RM230 and RM620 depending on the type of room, with the deluxe room able to accommodate between two and four people.
“The rooms are equipped with air-condition, minibar, television set and WiFi access, while those staying at the villa units can enjoy a personal jacuzzi, offering the experience of an ‘exclusive’ getaway,” he said.
Muhammad Rizal said the resort also catered for those wanting to host events such as seminars and weddings.
“The resort has low impact team building facilities for groups wanting to hold family day programmes and we also conduct team building activities such as the Tarzan swing, balancing bridge, spider web and provide cycling facilities for children and adults,” he added.
For three-time Suria Hot Spring Bentong visitor, Stefani Chua, in her 40s, she frequented the resort to bathe in the hot spring.
“When I came here for the first time, I fell in love with the serene environment of the resort and had also suggested other family members to try out the hot spring here, “ she said.
Meanwhile, another guest who wished to be identified only as Nurul Hana, in her 20s, said the ambience and facilities offered at the resort were suitable for a short getaway with the family and at a reasonable price.
