Unryul Mine in DPRK Upgrades Long-Distance Belt Conveyor

Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- The Unryul Mine in the DPRK upgraded a long-distance belt conveyor in a short span of time.

The normal operation of conveyor has been resumed, opening up a prospect for further increasing iron-ore production by the removal of overburden in large quantities.

The officials, technicians and workers at the mine completed the upgrading project in only over 20 days. As a result, the overburden removal capacity has increased by more than twice as large as the past and the embankment built by the long-distance belt conveyor is now advancing towards Sok islet. -0-
