Zijin Corporation of China ready to invest in Kyrgyz projects in mining industry

Bishkek, June 6, 2023. / Kabar /. Representatives of China’s Zijin Mining Corporation are ready to invest in Kyrgyzstan's projects in the field of mining, the Kyrgyz presidential administration reported.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov met with representatives of the corporation on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the mining industry.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the corporation thanked the country's leadership for the constant support and assistance in the implementation of the investment project of Altynken LLC and noted that they were interested in participating in other investment projects in the mining industry of Kyrgyzstan.

Altynken LLC is a joint Kyrgyz-Chinese enterprise engaged in geological exploration, mining, enrichment and smelting of minerals, processing and sale of finished products. The enterprise was fully built and put into operation on July 29, 2015. The daily productivity of the enterprise today is 2,500 tons. The annual gold production is over 3 tons. The staff is more than 1 thousand people. So, today the distribution of shares between the Kyrgyz and Chinese participants is 40% and 60%, respectively.
