KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- Thailand's ambassador to Malaysia Krit Kraichitti (right) visits the 'Thai Food Fair' exhibition space after launching it at the Aeon Bandar Utama, a shopping centre near here.
AEON Co. (M) Bhd Assistant General Manager of Foodline Merchandising Division Hiroko Yamada (second from left) said the festival is to promote products imported from Thailand, as Malaysians' tastes are very similar to Thais'.
"As Malaysians prioritise healthy and convenient food to fit in with their busy lifestyle, consumers are turning to tasty and healthy Thai food and beverage (F&B) products.
"With exciting beverage products on offer, Malaysians can look forward to facing their day the Thai way at AEON supermarkets," she told Bernama after launching the fair here Thursday.
The fair, from Thursday until May 8, is held at selected AEON Shopping Centres including AEON Bandar Utama, AEON Mid Valley, AEON Ipoh, AEON Bandaraya Melaka and AEON Tebrau City.
Yamada said the fair will showcase more than 150 F&B Thai products with 60 per cent being new products promoted in Malaysia.
AEON is also identifying selected Thai products for inclusion in the supermarket repertoire for permenant sales in the future. (photoBERNAMA)
