Gas Pipeline Being Constructed In Iran-Pakistan Simultaneously

Zahedan, Sistan & Baluchestan province, Dec 15, IRNA – An official with Iran's National Gas Company said that Peace Gas Pipeline to transfer Iran's gas to Pakistan is being constructed simultaneously in both countries. Mohammad Reza Gharavi told IRNA on Friday that the project is being implemented in three phases; the first stage is transferring gas from Asalooyeh to port city of Bandar Abbas, the second from Bandar Abbas to Iranshahr and the third from Iranshahr (south of Sistan & Baluchestan province ) to Pakistan border. He added that the two first stages have been completed and the third stage from Iranshahr to the border is being implemented. Gharavi did not give the exact time of completion, but said the plan is in the framework of mutual cooperation between Iran and Pakistan and would be commissioned simultaneously in the both neighboring countries./end
