Over $7.5b Worth Gas Condensates Exported From South Pars

Tehran, April 9, IRNA – Some 8.58 million tons of gas condensates, worth $7.532 billion, were exported from South Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in southern Iran during last Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2013), it was announced Monday.
Speaking to IRNA, Director General of Pars Economy Energy Special Zone Customs Department Ahmad Pourheidar said 16.90 million tons of various kinds of products including light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensates, parazilin, propane, butane and benzene, worth $13.79 billion, were exported from South Pars customs office during the period.
He further noted that the products were mainly exported to China, Japan, UAE, India, Indonesia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Afghanistan.
Some 8.32 million tons of non-oil goods, worth $6 billion, produced in the region were also exported in the same period, he added./end
